光纤中的受激布里渊散射(SBS) STIMULATED BRILLOUIN SCATTERING IN OPTICAL FIBERS 刘邦群 first-author 刘祖荫 陈永平 张建军 本文报导了用染料Q开关红宝石激光作激励源,对低损耗单模和多模梯度型石英光导纤维进行的背向受激布里渊散射(BSBS)实验研究。实验表明:十多种光纤的背向受激布里渊散射光,相对于入射光的频移在0.775—0.852cm -1 范围,脉宽有明显的压缩,压缩比可达1/7。受激散射光的转换效率和可能达到的脉冲压缩量,是光纤长度和输入能量的函数。 This paper deseribes the experimental investigation of stimulated Brillouin scattering in the backward direction observed from single-mode and multimode, lowloss, graded-index quartz fibers. It was pumped by a ruby laser using dye for Q-switching. It is found that the Brillouin shifts at 6943 are at rang of about 0.775-0.852 cm -1 , the pulse width of BSBS is apparently compressed, and the ratio of pulse compression near 1/7.
