从稻纵卷叶螟病死幼虫中分离出颗粒体病毒(简称CmGV)。其大小为200-330nm×350-500nm,呈椭园形。在电镜下其蒴状体(Capsule)蛋白质晶体,显示高度规则的线形,正方形和菱形。蛋白质晶格间距为55。其核酸为DNA,多呈闭合环状,且显示"超螺旋"结构。分子量为71-74×10,6,道尔顿。在室内C,m,GV单独感染率极低,但与斜纹夜蛾核型多角体病毒(简称P1NP V)一起混合感染稻纵卷叶螟幼虫显著提高感染率。本文将着重报导混合感染后幼虫的组织病理变化及二种病毒的形态发生过程。在感染幼虫的一些组织中能看到两种病毒同时增殖。两种病毒一般都是分别在不同细胞中增殖,有时也在同一细胞中复制和增殖。CmGV和PINPV在复制过程中,都以两种方式进行病毒的装配。
A granulosis virus was isolated fiom the diseased riceleaf rollers, Cnaphalocrocis medinalis Guenee (CmGV). Under electron microscope the capsules appear oval in shape and measuie about 350—500nm in leangth by 200—300nm in diameter. The crystalline lattice of the protein crystal reveals three highly regular patterns, the linear, the square and the rhombus. The linear pattein consists of a series of equally spaced lines across the entire capsule and the lines have a center to center spacing of 55. The genome of CmGV is DNA. The DNA consists of closed circular molecules; some of them present a superhelix in structure with molecular weight of 71-74×10,6, daltons. The infectivity of the virus in laboratory was very tow when the larvae were fed with CmGV alone; but the infectivity was grealy enhanced when the larvae were fed with CmGV and Prodenia litural NPV together. This paper also presents the cytopathetic changes in the tissues of the diseased larvae after they are mixed infected with 2 viruses and also their morphogenesis in the mixed infected cells. The fat body, the epidermis, the midgut epithelium and the tracheal matrix are the chief tissues attacked. Numerous capsules have been seen in the hemocytes. lt was shown that sometimes both viruses replicated simultaneously in one cell, but in most cases one virus replicated only in one cell while the other virus replicated in other neighboring cells.
