The author gives an account of the 17th International Congress of Genetics(ICG) (Birmingham,U K,15~21 August,1993),pointing out the tendency of emphasis on the genetic control of development as the main trend of genetics of the 21st century.The genome analysis of human and many crop plants on the basis of genome mapping of yeast etc.is also significant for the genetics at the turn of century.Summarizing his experience of participating in the 15th,16th & 17th ICG,the author expects that the next ICG,to be held in Beijing 1998 wiil be a success.The big genetics is centered around the elucidation of every aspect of the phenotype,thus consolidating all branches of biology within the framework of theoretical genetics,resulting in the"genetics in broad Sense". 遗传学 发育遗传学 广义遗传学 genetics developmental genetics genetics in broad sense Q30 1993-06-01 2021-04-01 6
