The mtDNA from liver of Leiocassis Longirostris has been isolated and purified by the method of denSity gradient centrifugation and DNase I、RNase degestion,and has been analyzed with 9 kinds of restriction endonuclease. The number of recognition sit6 of Xho Ⅰ、Bgl Ⅱ、EcoRⅠ、Pst Ⅰ、Bgl Ⅰ、BamHⅠ、Xba Ⅰ、HindⅢ and Sal Ⅰ on this mt DNA is 1、 3、 3、 2、 1、 2、 4、 7 and 0 respectively.The molecular weight of L. Longirostris mt DNA is 10.31×106 dations about 16. 69 kilobase poirs.
