(3-Mercaptopropyl)methyldimethoxysilane was synthesized by thiourea in the presence of tetramethylammonium iodine as a catalyst and mixed liquid containing ethylenediamine and trichloroethylene(MTEM) as a neutralizer
without solvent
in which the reaction temperature
catalysts
neutralizer and their amounts were optimized.The results indicate that the yield is up to 79% when the dosages of teramethylammonium iodine and MTEM are 5.5% and 15% of (chloropropyl)methyldimethoxysilane respectively
the reaction temperature and reaction time are(120 ℃) and 6 h respectively.Compared with conventional methods
this procedure is more convenient with shorter reaction period
