Abstract
The growth responses of Heterosigma akashiwo
Skeletonema costatum and Alexandrium tamarense to three kinds of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons treatment was studied by experimental ecology methods.The results showed that lower concentration of phenanthrene
pyrene and anthracene could stimulate the growth of Heterosigma akashiwo
Skeletonema costatum and Alexandrium tamarense
while higher concentration of phenanthrene
pyrene and anthracene exhibited inhibition to growth of three species of red tide microalgae. The 96 h EC
50
values of phenanthrene
pyrene and anthracene treatments to Heterosigma akashiw were 0.059
0.071 and 0.078 mg/L
