Carboxymethytl pachymaram of 1% concentration was given to HBV transgenic mice by abdominal injection.Lymphocytes were made from spleens.MTT method was used to detect CMP’s cytotoxicity.Dendritic cells were separated from lymphocytes and incubated with granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor（GM-CSF）and interleukin-4（IL-4）.Phenotype of DCs were assayed by flowcytometry（FCM）

IL-12 released by DCs and IL-10 and IFN-γ produced by T cells in mixed lymphocyte reaction（MLR） were measured by ELISA.Results showed that CMP within the concentrations of 0-500 μg/ml didn’t show cytotoxicity to lymphocytes

CMP could enhance DCs’ phenotype

increase IL-12 level in HBV transgenic mice

increase the secretion of IFN-γ

inhibit the secretion of IL-10 in MLR

thus up-regulates DC’s function.
