A novel fluorescent functional monomer Py-Phe-DA was synthesized by esterifying
coupling and acylating between 1-pyrenebutyric acid and L-phenylalanine.The yield of the fluorescent functional monomer is 71.2%.

MS and fluorescence spectroscopy was used to characterize this monomer.The synthetic conditions and purifying methods of the intermediates and target product were discussed.The results of fluorescence measurements show that there is a strong interaction between Py-Phe-DA and BSA.
