HU YING, ZHAO JIE. Morphologic Character of Pollen Tube Growth and Embryo Development during Sexual Reproductive Process of Arabidopsis thaliana. [J]. 2006, (2): 241-246.DOI:
pollen tube growth in pistil tissue was observed in Arabidopsis thaliana(Columbia ecotype)
and the growth speed of pollen tubes in style and ovary were calculated
the results showed that the pollen tube grew faster as time goes on.Furthermore
embryos at different developing stages were manually isolated to understand their changes of morphologic character along with the time course
then the developmental situation difference were compared between the Columbia(ecotype) and the Landsberg ecotype
the results showed that the developmental speed of the Columbia ecotype was slower than that of the Landsberg ecotype.Besides
the lengths of siliques at different developing stages were measured
and relation between silique length and time course were investigated
the results showed that the siliques grew slower as time goes on.The results could be valuable and reliable information for the reproductive developmental biology researches of the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana.
