a separate doped PANI(polyaniline) film electrode has been made.The electrochemical behaviors of the PANI film electrode
and the galvanic interactions between the PANI film(electrode) and 2Cr13 stainless steel in no-deaerated and N
2
-deaerated acidic solution have been also studied.The results show that PANI film can passivate 2Cr13 stainless steel both in the N
2
-deaerated and no-deaerated solution.Based on the experimental results of the electrochemistry and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS)
a mechanism for galvanic anodic protection for the passivation of 2Cr13 stainless steel has been proposed: the excess oxidative charge stored in the PANI and the "dedoping/re-doping process" of the doped PANI in the acid environment provides the required anodic current for steel passivation.
