The Novel Cu(OH)2/TiO2 composite nano-photocatalyst was prepared by in situ deposition of Cu(OH)2 in the presence of nano-TiO2 powders.By using methyl orange as a model compound to be degraded
the effects of the amount of Cu(OH)2 deposits
catalyst loading
and solution’s pH values were studied on the photocatalytic activity of the composites.It was demonstrated that when the amount of Cu(OH)2 deposit was 0.05%
the photocatalytic activity of Cu(OH)2/TiO2 achieved the best
being about 6 times higher than that of neat TiO2
and it kept high photocatalytic and mineralization activity as also as long lifetime at a broad range of solution pH values.
