Myoglobin was used as peroxidase mimetic enzyme in the catalytic oxidation of p-cresol by peroxide hydrogen with fluorescent spectrometry. The optimal experimental conditions for the determinations were established. The linear range of the method was 5.0×10-9-3.0×10-8 mol/L of Myogloin
with a correlation coefficient of 0.998 9.The proposed method is simple and highly sensitive with a detection limit of 1.35×10-9 mol/L.The relative standard deviations were within 5% for the determination of different concentrations of Myogloin.A new method has been developed for the determination of myoglobin based on its enzymatic activity.
