张 ■教授与我国的植物科学 PROFESSOR CHANG TING AND PLANT SCIENCE IN CHINA 肖翊华 Xiao Yihua 1 first-author 周凌云 Zhou Lingyun 1 武汉大学生命科学学院植物科学系 武汉大学生命科学学院植物科学系 College of Life Sciences,Wuhan University College of Life Sciences,Wuhan University 张（１８８４—１９５０），植物学家和生物学教育家．中国近代植物学的先驱、现代实验性植物生理学和植物生态学的奠基人．最先自编我国第一套植物学、植物形态学、植物解剖学、种子植物分类学、植物生态学和植物生理学教科书．长期从事植物学科的教学和研究工作，为我国的生物科学和教育事业的建立和发展，贡献了自己的一切知识和力量． Chang Ting（1884￣1950）, a native of Tongcheng, Anhui, was a botanist and an educationist in biology.He pioneered modern botany,experimental plant physiology and plant ecology in China.He went to a school in Japan in 1903 and studied botany in Academy of Natural Science,Tokyo Normal University from 1906 to 1912.He came back to China in 1912 as soon as he got his BSc.degree.He became a professor of botany of National Wuhan University in 1914.He taught and studied plant science till his death.He edited first textbooks in China of Botany.Plant Morphology,Plant Anatomy,Taxonomy of Seed Plants,Plant Ecology and Plant Physiology,which had played very important roles in early times.He was once an acting president of the University and twice the dean of Biology Department.He was one of 19 founders of Botanical Society of China,which was founded in 1933.
