Arthrospores of dimorphic Tremella fuciformis were used to study the effects of the seven environmental factors
which include carbon source
nitrogen source
C/N ratio
pH value
culture temperature
culture time and the supernatant of Hypoxylon xianghui
on the transition between yeast form and mycelium form. The result shows that all of the seven factors have influence on the dimorphic transition
the extracellular supernatant of Hypoxylon xianghui sterilized by filtration was best for the growth of mycelium form in liquid media and the ratio of mycelium form was high at 9.89%.In general
the effect of C/N ratio is lower than other factors and the ratio of mycelium form was less than 2.40% under the given C/N ratios. The effect of pH3 in solid media is minimal and the ratio of mycelium form was 0.04%.All the factors have different behaviors in the solid or liquid media.
