we reported the thermostability of butyl-bromopyridium(Br)by means of thermogravimetry-differential scanning calorimetry(TG-DSC) as well as its solubility in different solvents. Our results indicate that
the liquid temperature range of Br is much broadened from 99.8 ℃ to 400.0 ℃ and the critical decomposition temperature of Br is at 237.8 ℃.The solubility experiment not only shows that Br can be easily dissolved in the polar solvents
but presents good water absorbability if being exposed directly to air.
