Aluminum complexes were directly prepared by using aluminum metal as sacrificial anode in a cell without separating the cathode and anode spaces.The products were characterized by using FT-IR and Raman spectrum.The study shows that the direct electrochemical preparation of aluminum complexes such as Al(OCH2CH2OCH3)3

has high current efficiency and electrolysis yield than those of Al(OR)3
Al(acac)3 and Al(OCH2CH2OCH3)3 complexes have high purity and can be directly used as sol-gel precursor for preparation of nano Al2O3.The results show that the aluminum anode surface should be granulated before using
and aluminium isopropoxide can not be obtained by electrolysis.Selecting R4NBr as conductive additives and preventing aluminum anode from being passivited can improve product yield.Study also shows that nano-sized γ-Al2O3(10-20 nm) were prepared after calcinations at 200 ℃
and turned into α-Al2O3 nano-whisker after calcinated at 800 ℃.
