By dividing the network divided into multiple hexagonal domains
with every node storing more than one key subset’s information before deployment
a new hierarchical key pre-distribution scheme was proposed for the clustered WSN.This scheme could renew the node key so as to resolve the two problems of that lower key connectivity when some nodes were captured and higher communication overhead when key was renewed.Performance and simulation results show that this scheme can guarantee any pair of neighboring nodes to find a unique secret key
reduce the amount of memory required
enhance the network resilience against node capture
and the communication overhead for key establishing and renewing keys is minimum compared to some existing pre-distribution schemes.
