Quasi-aligned ZnO sub-micron structures have been synthesized by hydrothermal process in solution of zincnitrate(Zn(NO3)2·6H2O) and ammonia(NH3·H2O) on Fe-Co-Ni alloy at 85 ℃.The structures
morphologies and optical properties of the grown ZnO samples have been investigated by X-ray diffraction
high-resolution transmission electron microscopy
field emission scanning electron microscopy and photoluminescence spectra(PL) at room temperature.The results show that the ZnO nanorods are well-aligned and have well UV optical properties at proper growth temperature.The ZnO nanorods become branched at higher temperature.Besides
the ZnO samples grown on Ni sheet have similar morphologies as grown on Fe-Co-Ni alloy.
