The methods were developed to separate enantimer of precursor of chloramphenicol （（±）\|threo\|1\|p\|nitrophenyl\|2\|amino\|1,3\|propanediol, NAPD） and enantiomer of precursor of thiamphenicol （（±）\|threo\|1\|p\|methylsulfonyl serine ethylester, MSSE）. The optical isomers were resolved by High Performance Capillary Electrophoresis（HPCE） using carboxylmethyl\|β\|cyclodextrin（CM\|β\|CD）、hydroxypropyl\|β\|cyclodextrin（HP\|β\|CD） 、dimethyl\|β\|cyclodextrin（DM\|β\|CD） as chiral selectors. The separations were performed on a φ75 μm×50 cm uncoated capillary. The effects of the types and concentrations of CDs in buffer on chiral resolution were investigated. The effects of pH and the types of the background electrolytes on chiral resolution were also investigated and optimized. It was found that the NAPD enantiomer can be baseline separated by CM\|β\|CD、HP\|β\|CD and DM\|β\|CD.
