The optical transmission properties of Cantor fractal Kerr nonlinear photonic crystal have been calculated and analyzed by using the sub-layer division method and the backward recursive transfer matrix algorithm
based on the optical transmission theory and the laser-matter interaction theory.It is found from the calculation results that the structure of photonic crystal spectrum exhibits self-similar characteristics.With the decreasing generator G value or increasing algebra N value
the spectrum becomes more sparse and the forbidden band width becomes wider.Further more
the frequency spectra of the Cantor fractal Kerr nonlinear photonic crystal show more narrow-bands under the condition of higher light intensity.Also the calculation results provide the references for the design of optical narrow-band filter.
