The sensitivities of Schizochytrium limacinum to seven antibiotics were reported here

including Zeocin

Amphotericin B

G418

chloramphenicol（Cm）

ampicillin（Amp）

kanamycin（Km） and streptomycin（Str）.The results show that S.limacinum has the most sensitivity to Zeocin and then to Amphotericin B

G418 and Cm in sequence.The survival rate of S.limacinum was only 2.10%-2.79%（P<0.01） while Zeocin’s concentration was at 2.5-4.0 mg·L-1.The survival rate of S.limacinum cultured with Amphotericin B

G418 and Cm over 5%（P<0.01）

2.08%（P<0.01） and 13%（P<0.05） respectively under the higher concentration of each antibiotics which was 14-20 mg·L-1

140 mg·L-1 and 25.5-68 mg·L-1.The results indicate that S.limacinum is not sensitive to Amp

Km and Str since high content of these antibiotics（50-300 mg·L-1） can not inhibit the growth of S.limacinum and its survival rate was still over 80%（P>0.05）.
