A series of cellulose/soy protein isolate composite membranes were prepared by casting and evaporation method. The membranes were stored in 10% acetic acid solution
5% acetic acid/5% ethanol solution
75% ethanol solution and water
respectively. The effects of different storing conditions on the structure and properties of the cellulose/soy protein isolate membranes were investigated by tensile testing
scanning electron microscope
and ultraviolet. The structure and mechanical properties of the wet cellulose/soy protein isolate membranes in 10% acetic acid solution could maintain for 30 d.The results revealed that 10% acetic acid solution was the most suitable storing system in this case.
