Four aspects about the specialized English for electronic information science are surveyed
which include the basic information about students(such as gender
age and the existing English level)
the learning conditions of students themselves(such as attitude
the main problems of learning and the effect of learning)
students’ evaluation on specialized English teaching
and their orientation on the specialized English.The results show that the English levels of the students are uneven;students normally pay little attention to specialized English and have not got adapted to the student-oriented teaching mode;students expect that teachers blend listening
speaking
reading
writing and translating together in the class to enhance their synthesized abilities;the specialized English teaching and learning should be paid more attention to.
